Annie Duke is putting another charity tournament and this time, the WPT, WSOP and Sports Legends Challenge join forces to its Celebrity Poker Night, a charity poker tournament for the benefit of the Decision Education Foundation.
The Celebrity Poker Night will take place at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles . Celebrities and poker pros will all taking the felt incuding Shannon Elizabeth, Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Mena Suvari, Van Nguyen, Phil Laak and Freddy Deeb. This gives all celebrities and poker pros will be having an evening of fun with a "home style" poker game.
More than $30,000 in prizes and giveaways will be awarded throughout the event. The red carpet begins at 7 p.m. with the cards getting in the air at 8 p.m. Anyone willing to put down the $330 buy-in can take a seat at the tables. Re-buys and a one-time add-on are both available for $100.
Re-buys available during first three levels. Players Receive 1,000 in Starting Chips for $300 + $30. Players receive 1,000 more tournament chips for each $100 re-buy for first three levels (one hour). One $100 add-on for 2,000 in chips is allowed for each player at the end of level 3.
The event schedule will commence at 5pm for the Registration Opens & Cocktails for participants at STAKES SUPPER CLUB followed by the Silent Auctions that starts at 6pm. At 7pm, Celebrities and Poker Pros will have a re carpet walk and followed by the poker event at 8pm.
The first place prize is a 2010 Sports Legends Challenge entry. Rockwell Time will present watches to each of the top three finishers. Participants can mingle, play, and celebrate in a relaxed environment. Each participant will receive a generous gift package. The event will take place on Thursday, November 19th, at 8 PM during this year’s L.A. Poker Open. Celebrity TDA founder Matt Savage will emcee and oversee the tournament.
