Having already inked Annette Obrestad –who is likely to be a major focus of ESPN during the early days of play, and could very well be the genesis of the television table—the popular online poker room has also come to an agreement with online poker pro Andrew Lichtenberger.

Andrew Lichtenberger was one of the big stories from last year’s WSOP, where he finished in 18th place, and judging from ESPN’s track record will likely get a lot of camera time, since he is already a known commodity to ESPN viewers.

Andrew Lichtenberger, AKA luckychewy, has been parlaying his online poker success into the live tournament world; in addition to his 5 cashes at the 2009 WSOP –totaling over $750,000 –Lichtenberger now has over $1.1 million in career tournament earnings thanks to his WSOP Circuit win in April, which added $190,000 to his total winnings.

Since then, Andrew Lichtenberger has continued to post impressive results — highlighted by his 10th-place finish at the NAPT Venetian main event for $44,195 and his victory at last month’s WSOP Circuit event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for $190,137.

The New York pro has been highly regarded for his online poker accolades in the past, which include an August 2007 win in the PokerStars $100 rebuy for $35,942, a third-place result in a November 2007 FTOPS event for $107,226, a March 2008 runner-up finish in PokerStars’ Wednesday Hundred Fifty Grand for $32,214, a November 2008 runner-up finish in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $127,386, and a victory in an April 2009 SCOOP event for $172,800.

Andrew Lichtenberger has the most notable results were obtained in 2009. In the WPT Championship he ended in 13th place. The tournament saw a number of 338 competitors. Lichtenberger finished as the runner-up in the WSOP $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Shootout. In the WSOP Main Event he captured the 18th place. The tournament saw a massive field of 6,494 players.

With his first major victory, the 22-year old has over $1.1 million in live tournament earnings and five WSOP cashes (including a second-place finish in the $5,000 shootout and 18th place finish in the 2009 main event).
