J.C Tran’s biggest accomplishments include two World Series of Poker bracelets, a WCOOP Main Event victory, and five WPT final tables.

His biggest cash is actually a 2nd place finish in the 2007 L.A. Poker Classic for $1.1 million, but he would later claim victory and $683K in the World Poker Challenge that same year. J.C. Tran’s live poker winnings are in excess of $8 million, and include 28 WSOP cashes for $1.6 million.

With an incredibly balanced mix of live and online success, Tran is an absolute monster at the tables and always a force to be reckoned with.

World's best poker player J.C. Tran went to a casino with his brother when J.C. turned 21. He got hooked on playing poker and was doing quite well for himself. The only reason J.C. continued with college was because he was so close to graduating and he wanted that honor. He was making more money playing poker than he ever would with his degree. Instead, he turned his attention to cards. He was a winning player, but Tran's presence wasn't felt on the circuit for a few years.

Poker Tournaments started proving themselves to be his forte as he final tabled and won several smaller events early in his career as a professional poker player. In 2004, J.C. Tran placed 7th in the $10,000 World Poker Tour at LAPC, 5th in the $10,000 WPT World Poker Finals at Foxwoods and 2 final tables at his first WSOP.

In 2005 Tran placed 7th in the $10,000 WPT at the Borgata and made another final table at the WSOP. He also won a $1500 WSOP circuit event at the RIO and place 2nd at the Bally's WSOP $10,000 event. The year 2006 and 2007 so far have been real good for JC with loads of wins or 2nd places in several WPT events. His major win so far would have been a 2nd place in the L.A Poker Classic/WPT event, winning $1,177,01.

In 2008, The winner of Event No. 49 was J.C. Tran, a full time poker player from Sacramento, California. J.C.Tran is part of a group of professional players in this year's World Series of Poker that have made many achievements in poker, winning major events but they aren't WSOP bracelet holders.

This short list of professional poker players without WSOP bracelet's include; David Singer, Erick Lindgren. John Phan and a few more. J.C. Tran was on the list but he now has his first WSOP bracelet that he will be adding to the 22 times he has cashed at the WSOP since 2004. J.C. Tran won $631,170 dollars for his first place finish and Rasmus Nielson finished the event in second place. The final results for Event No. 49 are below.
Lots of people don't know that I am a great person away from poker. While I'm intense at the table, I'm a really nice, family-oriented guy. I have a great girlfriend. Without Heather, there is no way I could be as successful as I am. She helps take care of everything while I am away, and is very patient with me being on the road so much. Besides that, I am a golf freak and used to be a degenerate (laughing). ”  J.C. Tran said on qoute.
